The rheumatology system course comes at the end of your MS2 year, right after you’ve completed all other organ system blocks and just before you transition to clerkships. This timing lets you bring together what you’ve learned in immunology, musculoskeletal medicine, and internal medicine to tackle complex rheumatic diseases. You’ll focus on recognizing patterns, building differential diagnoses, and understanding management principles for multisystem conditions.

As a rheumatologist, this course is close to my heart—I’ve worked to distill the most high-yield concepts and share clinical pearls to help you approach patients with confidence. I hope it gives you not only practical skills for your clerkships but also a deeper appreciation for the role of rheumatology in patient care.
