You said, and we did! Past students provided us with feedback that we need to update our resources for ECGs and arrhythmias, and after many hours of labor, we are pleased to present you with the ECG Shorts video series.

This series will take the student through a rapid progression of highly relevant material, beginning with the basics of recording an ECG through the challenging topic of diagnosing cardiac arrhythmias using ECG. The suggested best use of this video series for students in their cardiovascular pre-clerkship curriculum is to view the videos relevant to specific class sessions prior to class (see E.Flo MD for details), then attend class to provide context and to cement the concepts.

See the Session-based breakdown of the videos below for the suggested best timing for students in their cardiovascular pre-clerkship curriculum.

Session-based breakdown of the videos

Watch the following videos before each of these sessions.

Note: If you wish to speed up the viewing process, increase the playback speed to 1.25.

Upon completion of this series, supplemented by in-class activities, the student will have a solid platform on which to launch their practice of interpreting ECGs in clerkship. For other students at any stage of the M.D. program, please come back and visit to review any of these videos any time it may be useful! We hope you enjoy these materials!
