Summer is rarely a period of rest for our team, and this year was no different! We rolled out a new layout for the Medicine Digital Learning landing page, which highlights information about our curriculum, as well as new materials for some of the components that are part of our curriculum. Read on for a sample:
This was a quick collaboration with Dr. Jonathan Wisor—a place to collect his many pre-session videos. Now the students can easily find them all in one place when it is time to review!
Molecular biology and biochemistry
Going hand in hand with Cellular Physiology is the Molecular Biology hub. This was a minor revision of last year's pages—Dr. Ted Chauvin's materials are very good and didn't need much maintenance!
The Gross Anatomy hub is a big project that will roll out over the course of the year. It includes a through introduction to the thread, an extensive textbook, interactive anatomy reviews, and four cohorts' worth of Dissector guides, as well a collection of the Complete Anatomy screens that are included in the Dissector. Our anatomy faculty, Dr. Dave Conley and Dr. Shannon Helbling, are top notch, and their materials should be, too!
- history note
The Dissector was the first and only set of materials on the Learning site way back in 2020, so there is a lot of satisfaction in finally having all of the materials in one consistent place. The Gross Anatomy textbook was also my very first project here at the college (1,100 pages, all made in iBooks!), and I'm so happy to work on these materials one more time.
