Spurred by questions from students, Sarah Kenney with the Student Learning Center came to us with a great opportunity to help students better understand our curriculum.

Over the summer, members of the Student Learning Center, Curriculum, Assessment, Instructional Design, and Digital Publishing teams came together to define the overarching patterns in our curriculum—what the students will learn, when and how they will learn it, and how they will be assessed on it.

With this new page, incoming students can get a broad view of  our structure (also using the Curriculum Layout page for more details about each term), as well as a reference for our many acronyms. Moreover, if they’re unsure of where their materials are for, say, Case-Based Learning, they have a reference where they can use: Each installation of their cases are beamed out four days a week!

We are looking forward to meeting with the Student Learning Center again to hear how the materials are helping students, with the goal of revising and further developing the information that we’ve put together.
